The City of Chilliwack is continuing to update our Official Community Plan (OCP)!

This plan, called Chilliwack 2050, will guide how the city will grow and develop over the next 25 years. Through a phased process of planning research and community engagement, the updated plan will reflect a renewed vision for Chilliwack's future.

Thank you to everyone who provided their feedback during Phase 2, whether by filling out the online questionnaire, hosting an OCPizza Party, stopping by one of our pop-up booths, or attending our Futures Fair at Vedder Park. We will be analyzing and incorporating your feedback as we write the draft Official Community Plan.

If you didn’t get a chance to participate this round, sign up to be notified of opportunities for feedback in Phase 3!

Phase 1 of the Chilliwack 2050 Official Community Plan update is wrapped! Thank you to everyone who participated by giving your input online, on paper, or in-person at one of our pop-up booths.

    In total, we had:

    • Over 7,000 page views on Engage Chilliwack and 600 interactions at our pop-ups.
    • Over 325 completed questionnaires.
    • Over 270 online ideas with over 1,200 votes, plus 180+ ideas at our pop-ups.
    • Over 850 map pins of places people love, wish to see grow, want to keep the same, and wish to improve.

Over the next month, the project team will consider the feedback received to identify common themes and prepare an engagement summary. This information, along with background research, will be analyzed to create concepts for Phase 2, which will be shared with the community in late spring of 2025 for further input and conversation.

Additional online engagement, community pop-ups, and other exciting events for Phase 2 will be announced later in the year. Stay tuned!
