Every year, Council updates the City's 10-year Financial Plan, or budget. Your survey responses will let Council know which services are most important to you.
Council works hard to balance the Financial Plan to provide a reasonable tax rate and:
Meet the needs of the community
Provide adequate funding to maintain quality city services
Acknowledge outside budget pressures, like inflation
Address growth in Chilliwack
The budget outlines when, where, and how the City will spend money on services like police, fire protection, roads, parks, recreation, public buildings, and more. The City must present a balanced budget and cannot spend more money than it collects each year.
Paper copies of the survey are available at City Hall (8550 Young Road) during business hours.

What is a Financial Plan?
A Financial Plan is another name for the City's budget. The Financial Plan sets out how much revenue (money) the City expects to collect, and how that money will be used.
