Consultation has concluded

In an effort to improve and increase parking downtown, we looked at making both Princess Avenue and Victoria Avenue Map of Proposed One-Ways for Victoria and Princess Avenuesone-way streets (between Young Road and Nowell Street).

We are gathered feedback from property owners, tenants, businesses and visitors in three phases:

  • Phase 1: we met virtually with property owners, tenants and businesses within these areas to hear what they think about this potential change.
  • Phase 2: survey open to the public.
  • Phase 3: based on feedback, staff brought a report to City Council in January 2021.
  • Project Update: (January 19, 2021): City Council opted to convert Princess Avenue to one-way for now and revisit Victoria Avenue in 6-12 months.

Please take a moment to view the virtual meetings, review the FAQs, and ask us your questions.

If we move forward with this proposal, we will consider your suggestion for reverse angle parking at the detailed design stage. Thanks!
