Do you use our parks, trails, pools, fields, and rinks? Have you ever caught a show at the Cultural Centre, or visited the museum? What would you like to see for recreation and culture in Chilliwack?

The City of Chilliwack is updating our Parks, Recreation and Culture Plan for 2024 to 2033. This plan will help us deliver quality parks, recreation opportunities, and cultural amenities for our growing community. Help us make Chilliwack’s parks, recreation and culture offerings better for you and those you care about by sharing your feedback.

What are the Plan’s Goals?

  • Update our inventory of parks, recreation and culture services and facilities
  • Assess our current levels of service compared to community needs
  • Discover Chilliwack’s vision and priorities for parks, recreation, and culture
  • Create a list of actions for the City to improve facilities and services
  • Outline processes for the City to follow from 2024-2033

What's Happened So Far?

We have completed information gathering, site and asset analysis, and the first round of engagement. During this time, we received over 1,200 public and stakeholder feedback via online, phone, and in-person engagement. Thank you everyone for your time and participation!

Through this process, preliminary findings have been developed. These preliminary findings may be adjusted prior to the final Master Plan. The final Master Plan is a long-range strategic document that provides direction for Parks, Recreation and Culture offerings for the 2024-2033 period.

Where We're At

With your help, we are looking to assess and refine these preliminary findings through a second round of engagement. From December 2021 to January 2022, a number of online and in-person engagement activities will be available for you to take part in. These include:

Public Survey

WHEN: November 26 to January 9, 2021

WHERE: Visit the project website on EngageChilliwack

Pop Up Engagement Booth at the Christmas Gift Expo

WHEN: Friday, December 10, 2021 @ 1PM - 7PM

WHERE: Chilliwack Heritage Park (44140 Luckakuck Way)

Help us shape Chilliwack’s Parks, Recreation, and Culture offerings for you and those you care about by sharing your feedback with us during the final round of engagement.
