We want to hear from you about how to improve your transportation experience in the downtown core. District 1881 is nearing completion, businesses are growing, and many more residents are making the downtown core their home. We’re looking for direction from the people who live, work, eat, and play downtown about reducing their barriers to get there and stay there.

The purpose of this study is to review parking and transportation needs throughout the majority of the City’s core downtown area. This project will count how many parking spaces there are downtown now and in the future, and create a plan for how to manage them, enabling the City to properly manage transportation needs within the area over the next 10 years.

The City has hired a consultant to assist with the completion of this plan. They will be reviewing:

  • The supply and use of parking during a typical weekday and weekend.
  • What areas of downtown have the greatest current and future demand for travel trips and parking.
  • How changing transportation may affect short-term and long-term parking demand.
  • Parking enforcement practices.

Your voices and experiences are incredibly important to help us determine what works and where we can improve. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts!
